Crazy weather

It's really hard to believe it's October and it's still 80 outside. The kids love being able to still play outside. I, however, hate the mosquitoes that come with this time of the year.

This week we're happy to have Ray at home. He has a week off from work in order for the company to get parts so they can keep going. It gives us a chance to have lots of family time. It's definitely needed!

This afternoon he tackled mowing the yard. The kids loving being outside with daddy when he mows. I honestly think it's the highlight of Trevor's week sometimes. He doesn't understand that it is a lot easier for daddy if daddy doesn't have to try and carry him around the yard. He enjoys pushing his own little lawn mower around but his favorite thing would be the rocks. He could spend hours just playing in the rocks.

Then you have Miss Gretchen who had to bring her dolly out. She needed to go for a swing in the baby swing and then down the slide with Gretchen. She had to make sure that dolly didn't get dirty at all. She'll be a good mommy when she gets older.

This past Saturday Ray's sister, Lynnette, had a Halloween party for the band. The kids had a blast! Gretchen reminds me everyday of the hay-ride she got to go on. It was the 1st one for both of them. They both enjoyed the attention they received from all of the girls impressed with how cute and adorable they were. If only they knew. :)

Last week I purchased my first official running shoes. I used to go to the college rec center 3x a week to swim. With money being tight, we decided I would skip out on it this semester and try the treadmill in the basement instead. It's been going okay so far. I think the treadmill is winning with my legs being sore most days. I just hope they don't fall off.
